Joseph’s brothers undergo a significant transformation while Joseph is in Egypt. While the brothers profess to be honest men to the unrevealed Joseph, how can Joseph know that this is indeed true? Joseph’s testing of his brothers reveals the veracity of their words and in doing so, Joseph also reveals to us the questions we may ask of ourselves, to test the sincerity of our connection with Jesus.
