Title:  Experiencing God’s Love

Scripture Reading: 1 John 4:16 

Our understanding of God’s character will influence the way we relate to Him. It is there-fore of vital importance that we gain a correct understanding of God’s character. So, what is God really like? In one word, “God is love” (1 John 4:16 KJV). God desires to reveal Himself and His character of love to us. To do so, God has provided wonderful evidences of His love, including: (1) God creating us for a loving relationship with Himself testifies to His loving character; (2) The beauty of the world God made for us and how He provides for His creation testifies of His love for us; (3) Loving human friendships and relationships can give us a glimpse of God’s love for us; (4) God’s Word, the Bible, declares His love for us; (5) The life and death of Jesus provide us with an amazing demonstration of His love for us; (6) What we may become through Christ and by His grace (children of God) is a revelation of His love for us.
