Pr Morné Eugene Fürstenburg is the last born of seven brothers, baptised on 27 November 1982 in Standerton Mpumalanga SDA Church, and married to Roné on 6 October 1991. Out of their union four children were born: Eugene (married to Petro Gey von Pittius), Eunice (married to Pr AJ de Villiers, one grandchild Mia and Adam will arrive soon), Euné & Eurich who just completed their undergraduate studies.

Called into pastoral ministry from behind the plough on 1 Jan 2008. He went to Helderberg College during 2011 and graduated in December 2013 with a BA Theology degree. He was ordained as pastor in January 2015.

Served in various districts within the Cape Conference of SDA Church: 2008-2009 Southern Cape 1, 2010 Overberg, 2011-2013 Hbc, 2013 Southern Peninsula 1, 2014-2017 Griqualand West (Kimberley), 2018  Gordonia (Upington), 2019- 2022 Sabbath School Personal Ministries & Youth Director Northern Region, 2022- 2024 Gordonia (Upington).

The couple runs a YouTube channel called Insig/Insight where a weekly interactive study is done on the Sabbath School lesson. He is also currently serving as the Hartenbos Camp meeting chair.
